摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target substance detection chip that consists of an optical prism and a detection plate, which are used for an SPR sensor and a light waveguide mode sensor, that can be downsized and be manufactured easily at a low cost by reducing the number of parts in the detection chip and that is capable of rapidly detecting a target substance with high sensitivity and capable of easily sending tested liquid, and provide a target substance detector and a target substance detection method. <P>SOLUTION: A target substance detection chip in the invention includes: a plate-like transparent substrate for transmitting light; and a channel that is formed on one surface of the transparent substrate as a groove and where tested liquid for verifying the presence of a target substance flows in a lengthwise direction of the groove. The channel is formed by arranging at least an electric-field enhancement layer on an inner surface of a groove part that is formed so as to at least partially include a slope inclined at one gradient to the one surface from a cross-sectional view.
