PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent durability, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 100 comprises: a positive electrode 10; a negative electrode 20; and a nonaqueous electrolyte 90. The positive electrode 10 comprises a positive electrode active material particles having an actuation upper limit potential of 4.5 V or more with reference to metal lithium; and a basic composition of a lithium transition metal compound. The positive electrode active material particles include a center region having the basic composition, and an outer region covering the outside of the center region. The outer region does not contain at least one kind of transition metal contained in the basic composition, or the concentration of transition metal is lower than that of the basic composition. The nonaqueous electrolyte 90 contains a transition metal ion scavenger. |
