<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior material which suppresses VOC emission from a base material to reduce VOC emission into a room or a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An interior material (rear shelf body 12) suppressing emission of volatile organic compounds comprises a base material 21 obtained by hot forming of a woody composition, and a skin material 23 fitted to the base material 21. The woody composition contains a wood stock material whose main components are wood flour and a polypropylene resin, and an additive which is added for suppressing the emission of the volatile organic compounds from the base material 21.
