Provided are: a method for screening a target protein for treating cancer, characterized by comprising culturing a mutant yeast, which carries a nucleic acid encoding a mammal-origin test protein, said nucleic acid having been transferred thereinto, and lacks of a cell cycle checkpoint factor, and a corresponding wild-type yeast, and selecting, as a candidate for the target protein for treating cancer, a protein inhibiting the growth of the mutant yeast but not inhibiting the growth of the wild-type yeast; a method for screening a substance having an anticancer effect, characterized by comprising culturing a mutant yeast, which carries a nucleic acid encoding the target protein for treating cancer obtained by the aforesaid method, said nucleic acid having been transferred thereinto, and lacks of a cell cycle checkpoint factor, in the presence of a test substance, and selecting, as a candidate for the substance having an anticancer effect, a test substance restoring the growth of said mutant yeast; a therapeutic and/or prophylactic agent for cancer which comprises a dynAP inhibitor having an Androstane skeleton, and so on. |
