The invention provides a gear device that is compact and light. A permission torque of the gear device is not reduced. The gear device (12) in the invention is provided with an input shaft (14) and an output shaft (16) and is installed on the lower surface of the shell (18). The upper surface (30) of the shell (18) of the gear device (12) is inclined from a side of the input shaft (14) from a side of the output shaft and a part of the upper surface (30) inclined downward is provided with ribs (141-143) protruded outside the upper surface (30) inclined downward. |
