PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray foreign matter detection device which causes less false detection and has superior maintainability.SOLUTION: An X-ray foreign matter detection device 1 includes an endless bucket member 5 which is cyclically driven by transport means 7, and an X-ray source 3 and an X-ray detector 8. Water W having a water level L and boiled eggs 4 are put in recessed parts 6 of the bucket member, and passed through an irradiation region S so as to acquire an X-ray transmission image. A part of the boiled egg 4 is dipped in the water below the water level L, so the transmission quantity of X rays decreases on the whole and the variation thereof is relatively gentle, so that a rask of false detection of foreign matter is small. |
