<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the impregnation of a reinforcing fiber with a resin in order to improve the separation of the resin and the fiber in a cutting step, down-size a fiber opening step and the like to improve the impregnation, and stabilize the ratio of the fiber and the resin, in a long-fiber pellet in which the circumference of a continuous reinforcing fiber bundle is covered with a thermoplastic resin. <P>SOLUTION: In order to form a composite fiber-reinforced resin, an engaging yarn 4 of a thermoplastic synthetic fiber yarn is rolling stitched on a carbon fiber bundle 3 or a glass fiber to thereby form a composite fiber yarn 1; the rolling stitched composite fiber yarn 1 is heated to melt the thermoplastic synthetic yarn 4 to be integrally joined with the carbon fiber bundle 1 or the glass fiber; and the integrally joined composite fiber yarn 1 is cut into a predetermined length to thereby make a composite fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
