摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus that are able to highly accurately control a twisting angle and a twisting pitch for the support wire part of a cable part, and are able to stably manufacture an optical fiber cable excellent in wind resistance characteristics.SOLUTION: A method is for manufacturing an optical fiber cable 100 formed by integrating a support wire part, a cable part provided by being reversely twisted periodically around the support wire part, and accommodating a coated optical fiber, and a connection part connecting the supporting wire and cable part. In the method, a support wire 11 is wound around the outer peripheries of two grooved pulleys more than one time, and is reversely twisted in a predetermined period integrally around the two grooved pulleys, thereby the support wire 11 is twisted and introduced into an extruder 50 together with the coated optical fiber 21; after the outer peripheries of the support wire 11 and a single-core coated optical fiber are coated with resin all at once, it is inserted into an auxiliary cooling tank to cool the resin to a semi-molten state; a cut is made in the semi-molten resin in a section positioned by a plurality of position correcting rollers; then, it is inserted into the main cooling tank to cure the resin.
