Provided is an image distortion correcting device which corrects a brightness level of image data in accordance with curvature of a curved display panel and a viewing distance of a viewer in a curved display device to display an image optimized for the curvature and the viewing distance of the entire region of the curved display panel so as to provide the image without distortion to the viewer. The image distortion correcting device comprises: a virtual curved surface generating unit, a coordinate mapping unit, and a brightness converting unit.
