PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preferably adjusting polarization between reference light and signal light in OCT measurement.SOLUTION: In an optical image measuring apparatus, the signal light transmitted through an object to be measured is superimposed on the reference light to generate coherent light, and an image of the object is formed based on the result of coherent light detection. The optical image measuring apparatus includes a detection unit, an adjustment unit, and a formation unit. The detection unit detects each of polarization states of the signal light and the reference light. The adjustment unit adjusts the polarization state of the signal light and/or the reference light based on the result of polarization state detection. The formation unit forms the image of the object based on the result of the coherent light detection which is obtained by superimposing the signal light and the reference light after adjustment of the polarization states of the lights. |
