PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of a pattern generated during adjustment processing for adjusting a position of an image in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: When a difference between intensity of a detection signal of regular reflection light when a background of a conveyance belt 105 is irradiated with light and intensity of a detection signal of regular reflection light when an image formed on the conveyance belt 105 is irradiated with light is below a threshold S, and a difference between intensity of a detection signal of diffuse reflection light when the background of the conveyance belt is irradiated with light and intensity of a detection signal of diffuse reflection light when the image formed on the conveyance belt is irradiated with light is equal to or more than the threshold S, a displacement correction pattern is detected on the basis of the detection signal of the diffuse reflection light. |
