FOREIGN SUBSTANCES SEPARATION APPARATUS FOR BIOMASS FUEL CO-COMBUSTION IN A THERMAL POWER PLANT

An apparatus for separating foreign substances of a biomass fuel for co-combustion includes: a housing having a cylindrical introduction space therein, an introduction hole at a lateral side thereof, and a discharge hole at an upper side thereof; an introduction pipe for moving foreign substances mixed in the biomass fuel while the foreign substances are rotated along an inner periphery of the introduction space by injecting the biomass fuel through the introduction hole along an inner peripheral surface of the introduction space with a directionality; a discharge pipe a low end of which is vertically inserted through the discharge hole to be located in the introduction space, for sucking the biomass fuel which has dropped to a fuel container on the lower side and discharging the sucked biomass fuel to the outside through the discharge hole; and deflectors arranged radially to be spaced apart from each other along an outer periphery of the discharge pipe and bent along a rotational direction of the biomass fuel, for preventing the foreign substances from dropping to the fuel container and allowing the biomass fuel to drop to the fuel container. According to the present invention, various forms of foreign substances contained in the biomass can be easily separated and removed by rotating the foreign substances contained in the biomass fuel and separating the biomass fuel and foreign substances by using the deflector to discharge the foreign substances.
