<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a driving source for driving a developing roller can also be used as a driving source for driving other members in a configuration capable of switching to a monochrome mode and to a color mode. <P>SOLUTION: While keeping a motor 35 rotating in one prescribed direction, a first movable member 42 and a second movable member 43 are moved between a monochrome mode position and a color mode position.
