<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identifiably display mathematical expression parts with same values in a formula in an easily understandable manner. <P>SOLUTION: A scientific electronic calculator 1 includes a CPU 11. The CPU 11 displays a mathematical expression input by a user on a display 3. The CPU 11 detects a mathematical expression part enclosed in parentheses and a mathematical expression part of a function in the input formula and stores them in a mathematical expression part storage area 120.
