The fume extraction hood (1) has a screen (11) and a filter element (12), which is held at the screen by a pivot bearing (120) and a locking unit (121). A releasing device (14) is arranged on the screen of the fume extraction hood for partially releasing the hold of the filter element. The releasing device is actuated by the movement of a part of the screen. The releasing device is partially spaced from the locking unit. The releasing device has an operating element (13) on an outer side of the screen.
