The light-emitting device comprises: a substrate having a top surface where a flat surface and a recessed surface are placed in turn; a light-emitting structure having a first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a conductive second semiconductor layer placed on the top surface of the substrate; and a non-crystalline layer placed only between the recessed surface of the substrate and the light-emitting structure. The present invention is to provide a light-emitting device and a light-emitting device package with improved light extraction efficiency. |
