DISPLAY DEVICE AND A DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

Unit colors include a first color and a second color in a display device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the display device comprises a signal receiving unit, a signal generating unit, and a signal correcting unit. The signal receiving unit receives an image signal from the outside. The signal generating unit generates data signals for a first color pixel and a second color pixel, installed in the display panel, based on the image signal. The signal correcting unit generates corrected data of the data signal for the first color pixel based on the data signal for the second color pixel in case of a single driving mode which drives only the first color between the first color and the second color. Therefore, the display device can relatively improve display quality compared to a single driving mode which does not perform compensation.
