The invention provides a power generation device. The power generation device comprises an evaporator (11) which evaporates an action medium, an expansion machine (12) which is rotationally driven by the expansion energy of the action medium, a condenser (13) which condenses the action medium, a circulating pump (14) which conveys the action medium to the evaporator (11), a generator (16), suction side detection mechanisms (21 and 22) which can detect used values in the calculation of the state quantity of the action medium flowing into the expansion machine (12), a control part (31) which controls the rotation speed of the expansion machine (12) according to electric power requirements of a device (40) supplied with electric power generated by the generator (16) within the upper limit value, an upper limit value correction part (35), which corrects the upper limit value and keeps the upper limit value to rise within the maximum value along decrease of the values detected by the suction side detection mechanisms (21 and 22). Through the structure, the electric energy production of the generator can be changed to meet the electric power requirements of a device connected with the generator. |
