Disclosed is a system for treating water. The system for treating water includes a first electrode stack for producing high saline water, low saline water and purified water at a first water treatment period; and a second electrode stack for producing high saline water, low saline water and purified water at a second water treatment period, wherein the high saline water according to the first water treatment period and the low saline water according to the second water treatment period are generated for the same time section and provided to a power generation module. Thus, the system may provide purified water and at the same time, generate electric power.
