The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method to manage attendance to enable a coverage utilizing a Wi-Fi 802.11xx technology of a smart device to cover the whole of a class room. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method and a system to manage attendance utilizing Wi-Fi without restrictions of a simultaneous access by utilizing a method to submit a periodical Wi-Fi scan result of a smart device for a member to a server and to authorize the periodical Wi-Fi scan result. The present invention relates to a system and a method to automatically manage attendance by utilizing a wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) without restrictions of a simultaneous access. The system to manage attendance comprises: a smart device for a manager to connect to a Wi-Fi to confirm whether a smart device for a member is located within a predetermined range from the smart device for the manager; the smart device for the member to confirm whether an AP (access point) of the smart device for the manager is detected by scanning the Wi-Fi in a predetermined period and to transmit a Wi-Fi scanning result to a server by connecting to the server; and a server to receive the Wi-Fi scanning result from the smart device for the member, to notify an attendance approval message to the smart device for the member when a manager AP of a lecture, which the member will attend, exists in the Wi-Fi scanning result, and to notify an attendance non-approval message to the smart device for the member when the manager AP does not exist in the Wi-Fi scanning result or when the manager AP of the lecture, which the member will attend, is not matched. The system may manage the attendance of a user without restrictions of the number of simultaneous access of an AP within a range allowed by a coverage of a signal strength. |
