PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor inverter capable of detecting a short-circuit without using an overcurrent detection circuit by hardware.SOLUTION: An inverter circuit 20 drives a motor 80 by energizing coils of each phase of the motor 80 by switching operation of switching elements S1 to S6. A main relay 30 is connected between an input side of the inverter circuit 20 and a battery 70, and a main capacitor 40 is connected in parallel to the input side of the inverter circuit 20. A precharge circuit 50 is connected to the battery 70 via a key switch 55 and precharges the main capacitor 40 before closing the main relay 30 associated with turning-on of the key switch 55. A microcomputer 60 causes the switching elements S1 to S6 of the inverter circuit 20 to perform switching operation in a precharge state and determines the presence or absence of a short-circuit. |
