The present invention proposes an apparatus and a method for controlling performance of a vehicle antenna, which controls output performance of the vehicle antenna based on the number and positions of vehicle passengers. According to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling performance of a vehicle antenna comprises: a power value setting unit which sets a power value of an antenna mounted on a vehicle based on the number of vehicle passengers; a beam direction determination unit which determines a beam direction of the antenna based on positions of the vehicle passengers; and an output performance control unit which transmits reception information to mobile terminals carried by the vehicle passengers and controls output performance of the antenna based on the power value and the beam direction. |
