1. An information processing apparatus connectable to a contents providing apparatus, comprising:
a memory device configured to store a first program for accepting a user operation of designating first a content and a second program different from the first program; a first obtaining unit configured to obtain a list of identifiers of contents saved in the contents providing apparatus from the contents providing apparatus using the second program in response to receiving a request from the first program; a second obtaining unit configured to obtain accessibility information of the contents saved in the contents providing apparatus from the contents providing apparatus using the second program in response to receiving the request from the first program; a specifying unit configured to specify, based on the accessibility information obtained by the second obtaining unit, at least one identifier of contents set to be accessible among the identifiers of the list obtained by the first obtaining unit without a user operation, using the second program; and a passing unit configured to pass the at least one identifier specified by the specifying unit to the first program using the second program.
