摘要 A position specifying server includes a storage unit, a communication unit, an estimation unit, and a specifying unit. The storage unit stores GMMs corresponding to base stations of radio waves receivable by a terminal device on each floor. The communication unit receives measured values of the radio wave strengths of the radio waves which the terminal device receives from the base stations. The estimation unit estimates a position of the terminal device for each floor based on the received measured values of the radio wave strengths and the GMMs. The specifying unit calculates the estimated values of the radio wave strengths at the estimated position of the terminal device on each floor based on the GMMs and specifies the floor on which the terminal device is present based on the calculated estimated values of the radio wave strengths and the measured values of the radio wave strengths.

A position specifying server for use with a terminal device, the position specifying server comprising: a non-transitory computer readable storage medium programmed to store Gaussian Mixture Models corresponding to base stations of radio waves receivable by the terminal device and indicating radio wave strengths on each floor; and a processor programmed to: receive measured values of the radio wave strengths of radio waves which the terminal device receives from the base stations;calculate a difference between the calculated estimated value of the radio wave strength and the measured value of the radio wave strength for each of the base stations;estimate a position of the terminal device for each floor based on the by received measured values of the radio wave strengths and the Gaussian Mixture Models by calculating a value representing an existence probability of the terminal device on each floor according to the calculated difference in the radio wave strength, which is obtained by dividing a sum of probabilities for the base station for which the difference in the radio wave strength is calculated on each floor by the number of base stations on the floor on which the number of base stations for which the difference in the radio wave strength is calculated is the largest among the floors;calculate an estimated value of the radio wave strengths at the estimated position of the terminal device on each floor based on the Gaussian Mixture Models; andspecify the floor on which the terminal device is present based on the calculated estimated values of the radio wave strengths, the measured values of the radio wave strengths and the calculated existence probability.
