PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functionally divided filter unit in which a radioactive iodine removal filter excellent in an adsorption effect and adsorption persistency for a radioactive iodine and a filter for collecting airborne particles are combined each other.SOLUTION: A functionally divided filter unit 1 in which a function is divided into a function for collecting the airborne particles and a function for adsorbing a radioactive substance, comprises: a first filter 2 that collects fine particles 6; and a second filter 3 that adsorbs the radioactive substance. The functionally divided filter unit is set so that when an air flow A is made to flow in a direction from the first filter 2 to the second filter 3 under the conditions in which an atmospheric pressure is 0.9 to 1.1 atm, a temperature is -10 to 100°C, and humidity is 50 to 100%, an air flow passage speed of the second filter 3 is higher than an air flow passage speed of the first filter 2 and a pressure loss in the second filter 3 is smaller than a pressure loss of the first filter 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
