摘要 An apparatus for recognizing the position of an indicated object by using a rotational optical system according to the present invention includes: a pair of rotational optical units each of which is installed on one side of a frame of a display device which constitutes a screen and rotates on an axis in the direction perpendicular to the screen to transmit transmission light in the direction parallel to the screen and receive reflected light which is the transmission light retroreflected from the indicated object which gets close to the screen, thereby outputting a photodetection signal; and a control unit which recognizes the position of the indicated object on the screen by using the photodetection signal, wherein radiation areas of the transmission light intersect each other on an identical plane. Because the apparatus for recognizing the position of the indicated object by using the rotational optical system according to the present invention recognizes the position of the indicated object on the screen by using the reflected light incident on an optical module which is the transmission light transmitted to the front of the screen by the optical module installed on the frame of the display device and retroreflected from a surface of the indicated object which gets close to the screen, the apparatus has an advantage of minimizing an increase of the thickness of the display device in that it is not necessary to install an additional reflecting member on the frame of the display device when the apparatus is compared with an existing technique.
