PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure of a vehicle rear part which can improve the collision energy absorption performance of the vehicle rear part at a collision.SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure of the vehicle rear part comprises a pair of rear side frames 1 which extends to a fore-and-aft direction; a rear end panel 2 which is arranged at rear ends of a pair of the rear side frames 1; a pair of left and right crush cans 3 which is connected to a pair of the rear side frames 1 via the rear end panel 2, and has substantially-cross sections in a vehicle width direction; and a bumper reinforcement 4 which is attached to a pair of the crush cans 3, and extends to the vehicle width direction. A fragile part is formed of first and second hole parts 3y, 3z which are formed at a rear side rather than a center part of the crush cans 3 in a fore-and-aft direction, and when a collision load is applied to the bumper reinforcement 4 from a rear side of a vehicle body, an outer panel 4b of the bumper reinforcement 4 is made to face-contact with the rear end panel 2 by promoting the rotation of the bumper reinforcement 4 via the fragile part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
