PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel pharmaceutical composition using a component obtained by isolating a useful component included in Yi-Gan-San or a crude drug which constitutes Yi-Gan-San.SOLUTION: The invention provides a β-secretase inhibitor containing as an active ingredient an essential oil of Yi-Gan-San or Glycyrrhiza, wherein the essential oil is an oxygen-containing fraction, which includes at least one kind selected from the group consisting of paeonol, cinnamaldehyde, methyl eugenol, and 3,4,5-trimethoxytoluene; and an acetylcholine esterase inhibitor containing as an active ingredient an essential oil of Yi-Gan-San, Angelica acutiloba, or Uncaria rhynchophylla.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
