PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve calculation accuracy of distance information.SOLUTION: An image acquisition unit 11 is configured to acquire photographing images P1 to Pn obtained by photographing the same subject as changing an in-focus position, and a computation unit 12 is configured to calculate an in-focus measurement indicative of a degree of in-focus for a plurality of pixels of attention in each of the photographing images P1 to Pn as to each of the plurality of pixels of attention at a mutually different coordinate, using each of differential filters F1 to Fm different in a filter size; compare a distribution situation of the in-focus measurement for each differential filter calculated from the photographing images P1 to Pn using each of the differential filters F1 to Fm; select the differential filter from the differential filters F1 to Fm on the basis of the comparison result; and calculate distance information in accordance with the distance with respect to a portion of a subject reflected on the pixel of attention on the basis of a peak position of the in-focus measurement calculated using the selected differential filter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
