PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a pedestrian or the like may move to a position deviated from an airbag when the pedestrian or the like moves in the vehicle width direction even if the airbag is inflated and deployed forward of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An airbag apparatus (1) accommodated in a front part of a vehicle comprises: an airbag (20) inflated and deployed forward of a vehicle at a time of a collision of the vehicle (100); and a pair of support units (10, 40) protruding forward of the vehicle along with the airbag and supporting both ends of the airbag in the vehicle width direction at the time of the collision of the vehicle. When the vehicle collides against a pedestrian or the like, the airbag which has been inflated and deployed can support the pedestrian or the like. When the pedestrian or the like moves in the vehicle width direction, the paired support units can prevent the movement of the pedestrian or the like and the inflated and deployed airbag can continue supporting the pedestrian or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
