PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a risk that a rotation state of an internal combustion engine is destabilized due an increase of a fuel injection amount based on erroneous determination that a fuel property is heavy, in a control device of the internal combustion engine which performs rich control for setting a fuel supply amount to a first prescribed amount which is larger than a preset standard amount when it is determined that the fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine is heavy fuel on the basis of a variation tendency of a first parameter related to an engine rotation speed.SOLUTION: When a determination is made that a combustion state of fuel is not stabilized in a period in which rich control is performed, rich control correction for setting a supply amount of fuel at rich control to a second prescribed amount which is smaller than a first prescribed amount is performed at a start of a prescribed number of times on and after the next time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
