PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable ultrasonic leakage detector which can highly accurately detect a tracer such as air bubbles and fine particles in liquid like water using an ultrasonic wave, and a leakage detection method using the same.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic leakage detector 1 comprises: an ultrasonic sensor 10 which is arranged so as to be immersed in the liquid in a container 21; a signal processing part 13 which transmits ultrasonic waves from the ultrasonic sensor 10 at a prescribed transmission time interval and prescribed number of transmission times to a tracer 24 consisting of air bubbles, fine particles or the like put into the liquid in the container 21, and generates an orthogonal waveform on the basis of the amplitude value of a reception waveform corresponding to each number of transmission times in the desired ultrasonic propagation time with the secular change of the received reception waveform; and a display part 12 which displays the generated orthogonal waveform or displays the secular changes of the orthogonal waveform and the reception waveform together.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
