PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that can reduce the amplitude of a voltage used in polarity inversion driving.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a display panel and a control circuit. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels each including a liquid crystal element and a switching element. The liquid crystal element includes a liquid crystal layer having dielectric anisotropy and a common electrode and pixel electrode sandwiching the liquid crystal layer. A drain of the switching element is connected to the pixel electrode; a gate is connected to a scan line; a source is connected to a signal line. The control circuit turns on the switching element between a first timing at which a source voltage to be applied to the signal line is inverted and a second timing at which a common voltage to be applied to the common electrode is inverted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
