PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood lock device for a vehicle capable of improving operability when closing a hood, by reducing a push-in load required for closing the hood.SOLUTION: A hood lock device 100 for a vehicle is a device for locking a hood 2 for opening-closing an opening part of a vehicle body 1 to the vehicle body 1 in a closing state, and comprises a baseplate 4 for forming an approach groove 4e for approaching a striker 3 fixed on a side of the hood 2, a lock lever 5 rotatably supported by the baseplate 4 and a coil spring 6 as an elastic body for energizing the lock lever 5, and in closing operation of the hood 2, an angle formed by an approach direction of the striker 3 and a tangential direction in a contact point between the striker 3 and an inclined plane 510a of a hook part 510, becomes gradually small in response to an approach of the striker 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
