PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily make a main lock at upper and lower locations of an existing door electrically operable.SOLUTION: A handle pedestal 5 for indoor use has a cover part 20 stretching from a location higher than a latch box lock part 2 in a door 1 to a location lower than the latch box lock part 2, with a controller 42 transmitting a control signal to motor parts 38, 39 (electromotive parts) of each of thumb turns 28, 29 for operating upper and lower main locks 3, 4 and a battery part 43 supplying electricity to the controller 42 and the motor parts 38, 39 housed inside the cover part 20, and the controller 42 and the battery part 43 are connected to the motor parts 38, 39 via wire parts 46, 47 wired inside the cover part 20. The cover part 20 comprises an upper cover 49 and a lower cover 50 that allow an overlapped position of the upper and lower covers to be adjusted in a vertical direction to the cover body 48, thus allowing adjustment of a length of the cover part 20 in the vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
