PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deck garnish structure capable of achieving reduction in number of manufacturing and assembling steps and cost and effective pedestrian protection by forming the deck garnish into an integral shape.SOLUTION: A vehicle longitudinal section includes an upper wall part 27 to which a weather strip 23 provided between the lower surface of a front hood 5 and the upper surface of a deck garnish 1 is fitted, a front wall part 28 of a vehicle front side connected from the upper wall part 27, a rear wall part 29 of a vehicle rear side connected from the upper wall part, and an energy absorption chamber 31 surrounded by the upper wall part 27, the front wall part 28, and the rear wall part 29 and formed by opening its lower side, and is characterized in that the energy absorption chamber 31 extends in a car width direction and, in at least the center in the car width direction, a connection member 21 is provided to bridge and connect the front wall part 28 and the rear wall part 29 so as to close the lower end of the energy absorption chamber 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
