The present invention relates to an electric folding apparatus of a side mirror for a vehicle, comprising a cover, a drive motor, a drive worm, a first deceleration gear, a second deceleration gear, and a clutch gear. The drive motor is included in one side of the interior of the cover. The driving worm is integrally mounted on a rotary shaft of the drive motor. The first deceleration gear has a first worm gear part formed on the center of the outer circumferential surface of a first shaft part to be engaged with the drive worm and a first spur gear part formed on both sides of the first shaft part to allow both ends of the first shaft part to be supported by a first shaft hole. The second deceleration gear is installed in parallel with the first deceleration gear, has a second spur gear part formed on both sides of a second shaft part to be engaged with the first spur gear part, has a driven worm part formed on the center of the second shaft part, and allows both ends of the second shaft part to be supported by a second shaft hole. The clutch gear is included in the other side of the interior of the cover, is coupled to a shaft rotating an outside mirror, and has a second worm gear part formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof to be engaged with the driven worm part. According to the present invention, the electric folding device of a side mirror for a vehicle includes the first spur gear part and the second spur gear part included on both sides of each of the first shaft part and the second shaft part of the first deceleration gear and the second deceleration gear to transfer rotation power of the drive worm, which is coupled to the rotary shaft of the drive motor, to the clutch gear such that power is uniformly transferred without concentration to any one side of the first shaft part and the second shaft part included in the first deceleration gear and the second deceleration gear. |
