PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to improvement of head protection performance.SOLUTION: A vehicular side airbag device 10 can inflate and expand a rear bag part 38 in which a diffuser 28 and an inflator 26 are disposed, in an early stage with high pressure, relative to a front bag part 36, so that the front bag part 36 which has low pressure and is inflated and expanded later can be supported by the high pressure rear bag part 38. In addition, because the inflator 26 is stored inside, an upper end part 28A of the diffuser 28 which inflates in an early stage with high pressure relative to the rear bag part 38 penetrates an upper communication hole 48 set to an upper end of a partition part 24. Therefore, the inflated diffuser 28 can prevent or suppress an airbag 20 from being folded carelessly with the upper communication hole 48 as an origin. Therefore, expansion behavior of a head protection part 36A disposed on an upper part of the front bag part 36 can be stabilized, so that protection of a head H by the head protection part 36A can be stabilized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
