PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make favorable balance between merchantability related to vibration during an engine automatic stop and startability at a restart of an engine.SOLUTION: An engine control device includes: a sensor for acquiring vehicle speed information; an idling stop control part which automatically stops an engine by performing a fuel cut when a stop condition is established, and automatically restarts the engine when a restart condition is established; a decision part which decides an execution form of throttle control during the engine automatic stop so that an air amount supplied into a cylinder of the engine during the engine automatic stop becomes large as a vehicle speed indicated by vehicle speed information at a prescribed time point becomes high, on the basis of the vehicle speed information at the prescribed time point which indicates a vehicle speed during the engine automatic stop; and a throttle control part which performs the throttle control during the engine automatic stop on the basis of the execution form which is decided by the decision part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
