PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure bearing rigidity of a bearing at attachment to a vehicle body, and to surely block the intrusion of foreign matters into a bearing space.SOLUTION: A hermetic rolling bearing comprises: an outer ring 1; an inner ring 2 which is relatively rotatably arranged at an inside diameter side of the outer ring 1 around an axis; a plurality of rolling bodies 3 which are arranged between the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2 so as to come into contact with raceway surfaces 1a, 2a of the inner/outer rings 2, 1; a cage 4 for holding a plurality of the rolling bodies 3 at prescribed intervals; a seal member 5 having a lip 5a formed which is fixed to one side of the outer ring 1 or the inner ring 2 and comes into contact with the other side of the outer ring 1 or the inner ring 2; and a slinger 6 which is arranged at the inner ring 2. A flange 7 to be fixed to a vehicle body is integrally arranged at the outer ring 1, the slinger 6 is extended to the outside in a radial direction along a width face of the outer ring 1, and a labyrinth clearance 9 is formed between the slinger 6 and the width face. A constant velocity joint or an intermediate shaft which is connected to the constant velocity joint is fixed to the vehicle body by the flange 7 to be supported.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
