PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress failure in which the entire or a part of an impeller is broken or falls and scatters to the outside.SOLUTION: A centrifugal compressor is provided which includes: an impeller 11 for compressing air flowing in from an intake port 11a and discharging from a discharge port 11b; an air guide cylinder 12; a scroll part 13 in which the compressed air discharged from the discharge port 11b flows in; a second containment ring 15 arranged on the further outer peripheral side than the air guide cylinder 12 and on the further inner peripheral side than the scroll part 13; and a first containment ring 14 mounted at a connection position between the air guide cylinder 12 and the scroll part 13 so as to surround the impeller 11. An end part on the discharge port 11b side of the second containment ring 15 and an end part on the intake port 11a side of the first containment ring 14 overlap in an axis X direction, and are arranged at positions close in the radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
