PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for reducing the circuit scale of a wireless transmitter performing peak suppression of a multi-carrier signal.SOLUTION: A peak suppression device 7 has envelope acquisition units 22-1, 22-2, an addition unit 23, a peak detector 24, and a peak suppression unit 5. The envelope acquisition units 22-1, 22-2 acquire respective envelopes of the carrier signal included in a multi-carrier signal. The addition unit 23 generates a composite envelope by adding respective envelopes. The peak detector 24 detects the peak value and peak timing of the multi-carrier signal by using the composite envelope. The peak suppression unit 5 suppresses the peak of the multi-carrier signal, based on the peak value and peak timing thus detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
