PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger which performs control so as to output a charging current in accordance with a command value of a current and performs stable charge with respect to a command value smaller than a minimum value of a current that the charger can output, and a charging current control method.SOLUTION: A charger 10 comprises a charging current supply circuit 11 and a charge control unit 12 which controls an output current of the charging current supply circuit 11. If a command value of a charging current reported from a battery control unit 22 of a battery pack 20 is larger than a minimum value of a current that the charging current supply circuit 11 can output, the charge control unit 12 controls the output current of the charging current supply circuit 11 so as to output a current at the command value. If the command value is smaller than the minimum value of the current that the charging current supply circuit 11 can output and larger than zero, the charge control unit controls the output current of the charging current supply circuit 11 so as to output s current at the minimum value of the current that the charging current supply circuit 11 can output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
