PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain uniform high resolution of image data in omnidirectional imaging.SOLUTION: When a first circular omnidirectional image is input, an image processing apparatus geometrically deforms the image to generate a first rectangular image. Next, when a second circular omnidirectional image, which is an image obtained by moving substantially in the roll rotation direction relative to the first circular omnidirectional image, is input, the image processing apparatus geometrically deforms the image to generate a second rectangular image. Thereafter, the image processing apparatus composes the second rectangular image with the first rectangular image to generate a rectangular composite image, so as to obtain an improved resolution in the horizontal direction of the rectangular composite image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
