PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device capable of reducing a loss.SOLUTION: A first inverter 30 of a motor drive device 1 includes first upper arm elements 31, 32 and 33 connected to a high potential side and first lower arm elements 34, 35 and 36 connected to a low potential side and is connected with one-side ends 211, 221 and 231 of coils 21, 22 and 23 and a first MG 15 that is driven by an engine 10. A second inverter 40 includes second upper arm elements 41, 42 and 43 connected to the high potential side and second lower arm elements 44, 45 and 46 connected to the low potential side and is connected with other-side ends 212, 222 and 232 of the coils 21, 22 and 23 and a power source 50. A control part 80 controls the first MG 15, the first inverter 30 and the second inverter 40. By controlling a power generation amount of the first MG 15 based on request output of a second MG 20, a drive voltage to be applied to the second MG 20 can be varied and the loss can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
