PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reduction of the processing amount of a reception device.SOLUTION: A transmission method for transmitting a content through broadcast comprises a generation step (S311) for generating plural length-fixed frames for transmission each of which contains plural length-variable first transmission units in which the content is stored, and a transmission step (S312) for transmitting the generated plural frames. In the generation step (S311), the plural first transmission units are successively arranged in the plural frames. Even when the data amount of a first transmission unit as a processing target is smaller than the residual capacity of a frame as a processing target in the arrangement, the first transmission unit as the processing target is arranged in a next frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 51
