PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing aromatic polycarbonate by a melting polymerization method with an aromatic dihydroxy compound and diaryl carbonate as raw materials capable of easily controlling pressure of a polymerization vessel by suppressing variation of actual charged molar ratio of diaryl carbonate and the aromatic dihydroxy compound in a melting mixture.SOLUTION: To provide a method for manufacturing aromatic polycarbonate by a reaction of an aromatic dihydroxy compound and diaryl carbonate in a polymerization vessel having a process (A) for supplying the diaryl carbonate at 90 to 220°C of 75 to 99 mass% of the total supply amount of diaryl carbonate calculated from a targeted charged molar ratio of the aromatic dihydroxy compound and diaryl carbonate to a mixture tank, a process (B) for supplying the aromatic dihydroxy compound to the mixture tank adjusted with 135 to 220°C of liquid temperature after the process (A) and a process (C) for further supplying the diaryl carbonate to the mixture tank so that a molar ratio of the aromatic hydroxy compound and the diaryl carbonate in the mixture tank becomes in a predetermined range to manufacture a melt mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
