PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt drive type reel type lawn mower capable of reverse rotating a reel type mowing unit.SOLUTION: A belt drive type reel type riding lawn mower is configured so that, rotation of an engine output shaft 41 is transmitted from a first belt pulley type transmission mechanism 42 to a reel rotation main shaft 44 via a gear box 43, and is transmitted from the reel rotation main shaft 44 to a reel shaft 24 of a reel type mowing unit 4 via a rear side belt pulley type transmission mechanism 46. The gear box 43 comprises a first transmission gear train for transmitting input rotation to the reel rotation main shaft 44 while a rotation direction remains a same direction, a second transmission gear train for transmitting the input rotation to the reel rotation main shaft 44 by reversing a direction of rotation, and a switch mechanism for selectively switching a transmission path of the input rotation between the first and second transmission gear trains.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
