PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an acoustic notification proper by placing a mobile device in a quiet mode on the basis of an activity or a location.SOLUTION: A method may include receiving one or more of calendar data, user location data and third-party location data. An activity instruction indicates that a mobile device should be in a quiet mode during a particular activity included in the calendar data. The user location data may include user location instructions which indicate that the mobile device should be in the quiet mode if the mobile device is at a particular location on the basis of the particular location being of a particular location type. The third-party location data may include external request instructions which indicate that the mobile device should be in the quiet mode when the mobile device is at a third-party location. The method may also include placing the mobile device in the quiet mode on the basis of one or more of the activity instructions, the user location instructions and the external request instructions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A |
