PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a survey method which, while suppressing the time and effort required in an examination to check, when cutting a medium surface, whether a substance exists in a medium at a place to be cut, makes it possible for an operator to accurately determine whether the substance exists in the medium.SOLUTION: Provided is a survey method for executing an intra-survey area complementing processing step for complementing an index value at each position within a survey area a in a survey map s generated by, when cutting a medium surface in linear form, providing scanning lines SL so as to surround a cutting place CL to be cut in linear form, locating the cutting place CL within the survey area a, and scanning on the scanning lines SL (SLx1, SLx2, SLy1, SLy2) on the basis of the index value at each position on the scanning lines SL (SLx1, SLx2, SLy1, SLy2), and determining the presence or absence of a substance in the survey area using the survey map s complemented by the intra-survey area complementing processing step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
